JOIN A GROUP OF HEART-CENTRED WORKING WOMEN WHO ARE COMMITTED TO MAKING SELF-CARE PART OF OUR WORKING LIVES.
We meet every Tuesday morning to cowork, support each other through mentorship, and take time to promote our holistic health & wellbeing.
Stick around after for our weekly pot-luck lunch! Bring something yummy to share or a salad item to throw in the mix.
After a quick check-in to set our intentions for the day, we get down to business for around 90 minutes. Each of us focusses on her own projects, occasionally turning to the group with a question, an insight or a helpful resource to share.
We always have a business mentor onsite to answer your questions, give feedback on your ideas, and connect you with the resources you need. This month’s feature mentor is Dr. Golnaz Golnaraghi. Golnaz is a consultant and senior facilitator who works with individuals and diverse teams to ignite creative leadership and creative thinking, resulting in generating creative solutions and meaningful change.
Golnaz is Founder and President of Divity Group and Associate Faculty at Royal Roads University where she teaches leadership in the BCom Entrepreneurial Management program. Her background includes 10 years of teaching in higher education and 15 years of marketing management in corporate Canada. A TEDx speaker, Golnaz regularly presents at international conferences and has published her work in books and journals. Her formal education includes a Master’s in business strategy, Doctorate in diversity in the workplace, and certifications in creative problem solving and leadership assessments. Golnaz is a volunteer with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Halton.
After 90 minutes of work, we take a purposeful 20-minute wellness break. We look at wellness through a broad lens – activities may include dance, meditation, creative writing, yoga. This month our featured mentor is Emily Rose Antflick, Shecosystem’s founder and Chief Community Cultivator. Her work stems from a feminine paradigm that values collaboration, emotional authenticity, and work-life integration.
With an M.A. in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning, Emily spent a decade teaching and creating transformative educational journeys for youth in Canada and internationally. She is a versatile educator and program designer with rich perspectives on learning and community building.
After experiencing a pervasive sense of depletion and misalignment in her personal and professional life, Emily turned her attention to helping women like herself get unstuck and cultivate heart-centred communities that empower them to be their best selves. She founded Shecosystem to hold space for women to work in integrity, nurture their personal and professional wellbeing and connect with a positive community. As part of our #YESIMAY theme for the month of May, Emily’s wellness sessions this month will be all about giving ourselves permission.
