Socially impactful travel is becoming more and more popular in today’s world.
Introducing Wanderful Toronto’s first speaker series. Fresh from the Women in Travel Summit, Justine Abigail Yu shares with us the insights and trends that are happening across Canada and the US in the impact travel space.
What you need to know about the Impact Travel boom:
From building homes to volunteering at animal sanctuaries to staying in eco-friendly lodging, more and more travelers are looking to give back while on the road. Some are even dedicating their whole trip to social impact. But when is impact travel helpful to a local community — and when does it hurt it? Stepping fresh off the stage from the Women in Travel Summit in Milwaukee, Justine will be opening up a conversation about this booming industry. Together we’ll learn how the rise in impact travel is driving purchasing decisions, the ethical issues that may arise as a result, and what bloggers, entrepreneurs, and travelers can do to make responsible and ethical travel the norm.
